Resilient Warriors Inc. is a non-profit that is dedicated to decreasing the rising statistics of homelessness, human trafficking and incarceration. According to national reports, currently there are 391,000 children and youth in the foster care system. Additionally, 23,000 to 27,000 youth age out of the foster care system every year. Twenty percent of those youth become instantly homeless. There is less than a three percent chance for youth who have aged out of foster care to earn a college degree or any kind of post-secondary education. Twenty-five percent of youth who age out of foster care still suffer from the direct effects of PTSD. The Resilient Warrior Program is designed to assist young adults, aged 18-21, who have aged out of the foster care system with identifying a career path and creating a road map to achievement. The program also focuses on physical, emotional, social and mental health. With individualized service plans and case management, we believe if given the opportunity, the underprivileged and underserved can achieve successful self-sufficiency.
